To apply for available grants to support local initiatives.

Tidy Up & Clearance
Possibly the biggest task in Leadgate, currently one Task Group member does litter picking using the DCC disposal team to collect the bags. While we understand that not everyone has the time to do this on a regular basis some simple self-help initiatives, like taking a litter bag with you when you are out and about in the Village would make a significant difference.
Look at areas that have become overgrown or neglected and, where possible, clean up and replant in sympathy with the environment.
The Task Force would like local residents to nominate areas that would benefit from some green fingered TLC
The Task Force actively seek out areas that have become neglected and, within our available skill sets and abilities, organise a team to rejuvenate that area. Our initial effort was concentrated on the site of the old "Netty" alongside Leadgate Surgery. This work began on Sunday 13th November 2016, and is ongoing.
If you know of any areas that require attention, please contact the Group Administrator
Periodic walks around the Village looking for things that need to be reported to Durham Council such as:
• Roads and Pavements in need of repair
• Road signage and markings in need of repair or painting
